EXPLORING Reptiles and Amphibians

Scientists need YOUR help in studying reptiles and amphibians everywhere, including your own backyard! Join us for an introduction to herpetology, the study of reptiles and amphibians. You'll meet some real live animals who call Western North Carolina Home and learn how to join our crew of ecoEXPLORERS- kids who submit observations of plants and animals for scientists to study and earn prizes while they do it. Participants, upon registering as a participant at, receive an ecoEXPLORE patch. Find out how you can earn your Herpetology Field Badge and a free pass to Box Turtle Day at the Arboretum on June 10. For ages 5 to 13 but all ages are welcome to attend.
